Creative Foundations: Visual Storytelling (Early Work)

My career actually started in storytelling through visuals. Before I stepped into product and brand strategy roles, I spent years experimenting with video, design, and visual communication shaping messages, crafting tone, and learning how to evoke emotion through images, pacing, and sound. While my work has evolved beyond hands-on production, this early foundation deeply influences how I market today: I think in stories, in feeling, in connection.

This section is a look back at where that began.  (Fun Fact:  I interviewed, filmed, edited, and produced all of these videos myself).

As part of the curriculum for two service learning courses I took (Community Writing I & II), I created two documentary styled videos on the whole Community Teamwork agency as they approached their 50th anniversary. The  first video was also shown at their 50th Anniversary Gala, in front of a huge audience, full of sponsors and staff.

Done as a Multimedia Storytelling project, this video was filmed, edited and produced by classmates Miranda Wood, Jade Ervin, and myself using Final Cut Pro. It is focused on Women Who Rock, and for the video we interviewed lead singer of a local Lowell band, The Soft Cactus.
